On June 25, HP announced the new budget desktop systems. The announcement came just a day after the release of their new ProBook and Mini netbook. These PCs out of which two were absolutely basic designed to nothing but the most basic tasks. The Pavilion p6000 and Slimline s5000 are the least expensive of those, priced at just $270 and $290. The PCs so cheap are meant for the increasing sales of the PCs and nothing else. The PC is not sufficient for corporate or such professional work.
The p6000 is powered by an AMD Sampron LE1300 processor with 2GB of DDR2, 800MHz memory. The bargain also contains a 320GB SATA hard drive and a basic Nvidia GeForce 6150 graphics solution. On the other hand, the Slimline s5000 series offers a 6-in-1 memory card reader for extra $20 and a free upgrade to a 500GB hard drive. Both these models have wide variety of upgrades available. The s5000 features AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 processor with 3GB of DDR3 memory and Nvidia GeForce G210 graphics solution with 512MB video memory. Adding a Blue-ray drive mounts the price to $550.
Presario CQ5000 is the best model in the series offering AMD Athlon X2 7750 processor with 3GB RAM and 128MB Nvidia GeForce 6150SE graphics solution. The 320GB HDD comes preloaded with Windows Vista Home Premium x64 edition. The Pavilion Elite e9000 price starts from $600 and delivers AMD Phenom II processor with 4GB DDR3 memory and 512MB GeForce video card. An impressive 15-in-1 card reader is also present.
